Monday Meeting

posted Nov 1, 2015, 7:01 PM by Scott Makela

Hello everyone,

I would like to let everyone know that on Monday we will be doing our annual youth protection meeting along with the cyber chip, which is new this year.
The cyber chip is to make sure that scouts will use the internet safely and to use social networking sites appropriately. The chip is part of the requirement to be the webmaster, as a leadership position, with Mr.Makela.
The cyber chip is also a requirement in the new digital technology merit badge, which replaced computer merit badge.
During the meeting there will also be an opportunity to possibly go outside, no promises, but this could go towards a book requirement.

Please print off the cyber chip work book for your grade level, and we will work on some of it on Monday, and the next couple of week you may turn the packet in, completed, to earn your cyber chip. The chip will come in a card form like the totin' chip and the firem'n chit. Although the chip will have to be renewed annually, aroud this time of year.

Hope to see most of you guys on Manday, but for now have a fun and safe Halloween, and get lots of candy :) .

Yours in Scouting,

Michael Weible

P.S. We are no exactly sure where we will be meeting as we will need (a) projector(s) for this meeting, look out for another email on where we will meet.
